Award-winning wine list, with over 450 labels

Live blues spark the refurbished downstairs bar, the source of fresh, inventive sushi and oysters. There is still an Italian section on the card, for auld lang syne: three pastas ($12.95- $17.95) and a perfectly textured risotto. Lean, gamy caribou chops ($39.95), spread with a mash of cloudberries, reflect a fascination with Canadiana. Desserts much improved, including a heavenly passion-fruit soufflé with Valhrona chocolate sauce. A serious wine list of rare depth is mightiest in bordeaux, Californian cabs and chards, regional Italian reds--offering about 10 wines under $45, and 21 by the glass.
