The word Bagatelle comes from the French and means “a trifle” or “a
little nothing”, often referring to a light, fun, yet not too serious spring
time romance.
The French brought their history of fine cuisine and their love of wine to the Caribbean Islands. It is in this tradition that we have combined our French heritage, southern hospitality, and the indigenous tastes of the Florida Keys. Our chef blends the best of our locally caught fresh seafood, fresh produce, and delicious tropical fruits to create our unique, savory dishes.

Experience unique Duval Street dining in the very heart of Old Town.
A visit to our house is an enjoyable way to relax and indulge life’s simple pleasures as well as the Keys treasures from the seas.
Sea Captain Fredrick Roberts built the house, which Bagatelle calls home, in 1884. Returning from his travels, Captain Roberts looked forward to joining his family and good friends for the wonderful meals served on the porches. We have retained much of the original charm and architectural detail of the original Bagatelle building. The expansive wraps around porches are designed to take advantage of the prevailing tropical breezes of Key West. Bagatelle is a great place to watch the visitors and locals alike. Welcome to Our House!

"Reserve a seat at the elegant second-floor veranda overlooking Duval Street's mayhem. From the calm above, you may want to start your meal with the excellent herb-and-garlic-stuffed whole artichoke or the sashimi-like seared tuna rolled in black peppercorns. Also recommended is a lightly creamy garlic-herb pasta topped with Gulf shrimp, Florida lobster, and mushrooms. The best chicken and beef dishes are given a tropical treatment: grilled with papaya, ginger, and soy." - Frommers.com

“Sit on the balcony” to “watch the Duval Street crowd” at this “charming” Caribbean seafooder “reminiscent of an antebellum home” in Key West’s Old Town; surveyors say the “delicious”, “creative” fare is “reasonably priced”, especially considering the “excellent location”; ...
