The owner-chef creates his dishes with great imagination. The fusion trend is quite obvious here.  He now has two locations (West Hollywood and Pasadena) where he is practicing his concoction of Mandarin cuisine with western style. 
 
Groupies gush “if you climb to the top of the mountain, you’ll find” the eponymous chef of this “always popular” Old Pasadena Chinese, though most would rather he remain in the kitchen to work his “wizardry”, taking the cuisine to “innovative” “new heights”; service is “impeccable” in the serene setting, and while it’s more “expensive” than many other Sino spots, the “refined” fare is “worth the extra money.” Zagat Survey
