General Manager, Rajesh Suri, has been with Tamarind since 1998, and is a wealth of information about food and wine. His experience and talent are often credited with Tamarind retaining its Michelin star for the past four consecutive years.
Rajesh won the Restaurant personality of the year for 2003 given by Best on Britain Awards as well as Best Front of House Manager for 2001 and 2002 and Tamarind has won The Restaurateurs’ Indian Restaurant of the Year award in 2003 and 2004.
Alfred Prasad, Tamarind’s Executive Chef, joined Tamarind in 2001 as Sous Chef, and graduated to Executive Chef the following year. His expertise, talent and ambition have ensured that Tamarind’s cuisine continues to receive praise from guests and critics alike. He is a rising star, and was the youngest Indian chef to receive a Michelin star at just 29 years old, setting his feet firmly on the World’s culinary map.
