Lush, rolling soft green hills, thoroughbreds at play and a spectacular mountain sunset provides the backdrop for an incredible dining experience at Allyn's.

The foods in Allyn's are prepared from the finest, local seasonal ingredients. Utilizing some of the Hudson Valley's tastiest native offerings, Chef/owner Allan Katz prepares daily specials which capture the essence of the seasons.
The menu is composed of their renowned homemade soups, intricate salads, sumptuous pasta dishes, fresh seafood and innovative poultry and meat entrees.
Enjoy hearthside dining by one of our four wood burning fireplaces during the colder seasons and feast on a selection of one of our hearty local game offerings.

Outdoor patio dining in warmer weather is perfect for one of their chilled soups or one of our selections from the grille.

Allyn's also features an award winning wine list with the finest selection of wines in the Hudson Valley to accompany your meal.
The wine list has been featured in the Wine Spectator as one of the "finest wine lists in the world" since 1995. Allan meticulously chooses every wine stored in his climate-controlled wine cellars and currently lists over 300 different selections.

“Dependable” seasonal New American preparations enhanced by a “charming”, “relaxing” country setting overlooking a stallion farm sums up this Millbrook stalwart; in winter, visitors vie for a cozy spot near the fireplace, while in summer, they head to the “beautiful” garden to dine among “the horsey set” and “famous weekenders.” Zagat Survey

In 1986, Allan and Denise Katz bought what is known today as Allyn's Restaurant.
In their tenure here in Millbrook, Allan and Denise have cultured a reputation as on of the finest restaurants in the Hudson Valley.

Upon graduation from the Culinary Institute of America in 1977, Allan worked alongside Waldy Malouf and Norman Van Aken. As the Executive Chef at the famed Pier House in Key West, Florida, Allan sharpened his culinary expertise.

Allan then moved back to New York City to open Camelback & Central. This was a well known restaurant on Manhattan's Upper East side. After nearly 7 years of maintaining favorable reviews and consistently good food, Allan and Denise decided to move to the Hudson Valley to open Allyn's.
